We statisticians love to assume i.i.d. in the classroom, but this is a great example of when we need to look deeper into systematic correlated errors. If polls are off in one state, they are likely off in several.

I don't find that video of those young Black people walking back to their campus uplifting or inspiring in the least. It should enrage every person and all of us of a certain age should be embarrassed that they have to do this in 2026.
