A disturbing story. But also, this article made me wonder whether many of the AI fetishists I meet on social media have spent so long interacting with chatbots they no longer know how to respond to even the mildest of criticisms. Because their reactions are disproportionate, explosive and vicious

It can be annoying, but it keeps us tied to reality, and it is the basis of a healthy democratic citizenry. Truth is intersubjective, meaning that we need other people — their testimony, their experiences, their rationality — to be well informed. And chatbots are not people. They don’t have experience. They are not witness. They are fancy wordplay.”

This is the biggest, toughest article I’ve done about so-called “AI psychosis.” It’s the story of a man who committed a horrific crime in his youth but served his time and against all odds found love and a new life—one that completely unraveled after he started talking to Google’s Gemini chatbot.

Ok. They’ve pissed me off. I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards: 1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.
