here's a fun lil exercise for cis people: how many articles would a publication have to print calling for your extermination before you would expect people who care about you to stop giving them money? and how would you feel if their excuse for still supporting them is some fuckass crossword puzzle?

The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.

Since we're talking COVID: Masks work, ivermectin does not. Vaccines massively protect you and help against long-term stuff, but you need to keep up with boosters. You need to keep masking; COVID isn't over because WE DIDN'T STOP THE TRANSMISSIONS in 2020-2021. Also many are still at high risk

When people say "I hate AI", you know what they mean. Retorting with "Oh yeah? Spellcheck is a form of AI. What about classifiers to detect spam and CSAM? What about cancer screening image analysis?" ICE has been in San Fernando Valley, CA every day now for the last couple weeks targeting Panorama City, Pacoima, Van Nuys and surrounding areas likely working out of their new field office in Van Nuys. I believe a lot of the "AI loses money!" stuff, while true, misses the mark. AI is a technology the ruling class are going all in on because they believe it will give them more power over the working class. I believe this is an investment in class power rather than a direct financial investment.

I actually think the trillionaire saying his AI tool will remake a movie without the Black and trans actors in it should be a bigger story because it’s a perfect example of why the ruling class wants AI to succeed: so they can remake reality without those they deem undesirable - every nazi’s dream.

People heard the chuds derisively say "virtue signalling" all the time and eventually internalized that performances of good values was cringe, but I think publicly demonstrating what you believe in is good and we need more. I think we need to unabashedly normalize being nice and opposing hate.
