Like many people, I had a mixed feeling about lockdowns. I loved cycling in empty streets - Cambridge is usually held hostage by tens of thousands of cars - and I loved the freedom from some obligations. It played havoc with my work - remote teaching was a nightmare - but I liked the solidarity.

So why isn't Fox news televising interviews of all the happy people who live near data centers so we can hear what a treat it is to live with the constant noise, lights, increased utility costs and non-existent new jobs?
