pinterest is a platform for collecting and saving OTHER people's images. just awesome to think about how many people have saved my art on their pinterest boards and i have no say or consent on how that will be used to train ai even if i *did* have an account and disabled these settings :)

You can over-design. Even the most beautiful interface elements, when combined, can create something overwhelming. Minimalism in interface design isn’t just a mindless trend. It’s the result of years spent stripping away visual distractions to focus on content. Choose your decorations wisely.
Now think about how most of these people write text that’s on social media and how tech companies harvest that to train LLMs.

There's a clear, well-defined JS-industrial-complex pipeline from "you should adopt this SPA-based technology because better user experiences" to "you don't have any choice, despite the terrible user experiences". Most of it operates by omission. But it's still based on lies.
Pet peeve of mine: too many people talking about "politicians, schools, streets, anything" here in an all-encompassing way, e.g. "I've made a tool to label *all* politicians". While they actually mean: "in the USA". We need locations as a separate attribute in the profiles!
