I ask this as someone who sincerely enjoyed The Untamed: why the hell was WWX's mask so ugly... The costume situation was really nice in all other respects and then that mask was three inches thick and made out of lumpy paper mache. Is there some missing context?
Fanon makes Shen Qingqiu way too soft and nice. Where are his haterisms! Where is his pettiness!!!!! I like this character because he's kind while **also** being a huge weirdo and a loser and sometimes kind of asshole, too.

Another thing that's super important about Misvil is that the protagonist knew nothing about the setting beforehand. He didn't have pre-established affection for ANY of the characters, much less his eventual love interest.
