Big tech has the money to do so! Just ask Trump when he points to the stock market as our economy is rated as A+. He is clueless-delutional-worse HE DOESN'T CARE He's truly UNFIT! He's irrational. He's a legend in his own mind-what's scary-he has nuc codes!

@jamestalarico.bsky.social for Texas US Senate gets it - under his opponent Ken Paxton and Gov. Abbott, data centers are running amok in TX. Talarico has a sensible plan to regulate data centers. Texas, he is the right choice for your next senator, not the corrupt, 15 home owning Paxton.

THE REFORMERS

TALARICO'S HOLD DATA CENTERS ACCOUNTABLE PLAN

*END BIG TECH TAX GIVEAWAYS BY REPEALING THE STATE'S DATA CENTER SALES TAX EXEMPTION
*MAKE DATA CENTERS PAY FOR THEIR OWN INFRASTRUCTURE INSTEAD OF SHIFTING GRID COSTS TO TEXAS FAMILIES
*PROTECT THE ELECTRIC GRID WITH STRONGRT STANDARDS FOR LARGE ENERGY USERS
*REQUIRE WATER CONSERVATION INCLUDING CLOSED LOOP WATER RECYCLING SYSTEMS
*GIVE LOCAL COMMUNITIES A VOTE ON WHETHER LARGE DATA CENTERS CAN BE BUILT
*INCREASE TRANSPARENCY BY PUBLICLY DISCLOSING TAX INCENTIVES AND SUBSIDIES

Historians will call this elder abuse. Trump was never well—he’s been diseased in the head since childhood, from throwing rocks at babies to threatening local kids with a bat to trying to murder a classmate to stealing valor (incredibly) in *high school*—but he’s utterly gone. This is a horror-show.

Trump: "You see it in the blue states run by Democrats -- everything is filthy dirty all the time. The cities stink The sidewalks are loaded w/horrible stuff. I don't want to use the term bc my wife hates it. She hates it when I imitate no men in women's sports, when I do the weightlifter."

Tommy Tuberville promises as governor of Alabama to build a 30' wall around the state to keep out Yankees... and people with darker skin color. Alabama currently lands in the range of 47-50 among US states in literacy, healthcare, maternal health... bsky.app/profile/atru...

Tuberville: "If we don't straighten out this country's voting and immigration system, we're not gonna make it. It's gonna be over. I'm gonna go back to Alabama and hey, we might build a 30-foot wall around our state."

Thank you, MICHIGAN! I'm so proud to be your Democratic nominee for Governor of Michigan. I'm ready to fight for your future — costs down, wages up, rights protected, and a government that works for all of us.

El-Sayed, Lawrence and McKinney all won progressive campaigns in Michigan last night by talking about climate and clean energy like it was a kitchen-table issue — because skyrocketing energy bills and endless wildfire smoke matter to people.

The topline from Abdul El-Sayed’s win is that his platform for change still managed to win despite grotesque levels of outside campaign spending and a racist smear campaign to paint him as un-American. The grassroots desire to upset the status quo is that powerful.

1. Now-deleted audio shows that Acting AG Todd Blanche privately told faith leaders the DOJ is working to make the 2022 Dobbs decision, which revoked federal abortion protections, “permanent in every single state.” Blanche also suggested a crackdown on the mailing of abortion pills.🧵

Instead of meeting with Epstein survivors, what did Todd Blanche do? He rushed to Ghislaine Maxwell’s prison cell, and then she got transferred to a cushier prison camp. This is not justice. It is corruption of a system meant to protect the most vulnerable.

BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.

My ice-cold boring take that will definitely not go viral is that a primary result with a margin of victory of roughly 1 percent tells you precisely nothing about The Future Of The Party.

Red-state Republicans often spam the ballot with amendments b/c it's a freebie for them. Then their opponents have to devote major resources to defeating them, even though the GOP often doesn't lift a finger once their proposals are on the ballot. In KS & MO, though, all proposals got crushed.

Two more GOP amendments go down to crushing defeats, both in MO. #4 would have made future ballot initiatives impossible to pass by requiring winning a majority statewide *and* in each congressional district. #5 would have eliminated the state income tax.

Sure, Democrats are not perfect and we have some bad apples. But sexual harassment and abuse of women has become an absolute epidemic among elected Republicans because it is the culture of the party under lifetime serial sexual harasser Donald Trump.

Mallory McMorrow, who dropped out of the Democratic Senate race a month before the primary, endorsed Abdul El-Sayed as he maintained a narrow lead over Haley Stevens early this morning. “I’m proud to give Abdul my full endorsement and support as we head to November together as a unified party.”

McMorrow endorses El-Sayed as he holds edge on Stevens

"Whatever differences there were between the candidates in this race, those differences are nothing compared to the contrast in November," she said.

Phang: "Capital One said, 'We don't want the business anymore of the 45th president of the United States, his businesses, his failed sons, and his revocable trust.' So you can imagine -- I am just hypothesizing... but it suggests whatever Capital One uncovered was pretty bad. Makes you wonder..."
