Surgeon today told me that gallbladders (not even what I was seeing him for) are a useless organ that only exist to help surgeons take expensive holidays and ngl, he's probably got a side career in a very specific kind of stand-up comedy if he wants it.
I think I need a giant neon sign in front of me that flashes and just goes 'Pia shut up' when I need to shut up because honestly my brain will not do it for me soon enough and I cannot rely on it to give me the shut up cue until it's way too late and then /sigh/

I post a lot of stories about cops using Flock to stalk former or current partners, but don't forget that cops also use Flock to intimidate and harass people who try to hold them accountable.

I'm not happy about this Meta settlement. It does nothing to address the surveillance business model which is at the core of the harms caused by meta. Instead it subjects billions to age gating and restricts the speech and privacy of teens even further.
We have a literal gutless shitstain as the current PM of Australia and knowing it can always get worse is not actually all that helpful.

And this is why we self-publish. A comparably giant profit margin for less books/units moved, and we don’t get abused by our boss for pennies. (Unless we’re self-abusive, which is a whole other thing.)
