A friend dug up a piece I did on my experience running NYP Ryan F. Larkin Field Hospital during the COVID crisis in NYC. In light of all of the madness this week I updated it. I was there. I saw what this disease did and the desperate fight we were in to stop it. It was much worse than you know.

They just don't care about seniors or working class Americans at all. Over and over this Administration decides to screw people already barely making ends meet. This isn't punishing the pharmaceutical companies. It's making medicine more expensive for seniors. They will lie over and over.

We are committing war crimes. We have no idea if the people in those boats are smugglers, hostages, fisherman, or anything else. We are killing them and have even double tapped survivors instead of rescuing them. These are war crimes...and for what? No change in price or availability of the drugs.

You've got two weeks (now through 8/4) to cast your ballot in the Democratic primary. While you're there, don't forget the statewide ballot measures.

NYT called the subpoenas “an extraordinary escalation in Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations.” The dictator Trump hates the free press.

How many innocent people have to die before we accept that DHS is fundamentally broken? It isn't just ICE. It's CBP. It's the leadership from Mullin all the way down. Somewhere along the line the entire culture went into a place where ordinary people trying to live are enemies worthy of death.
This is an insane amount of money and they're going to ask Congress and the Republicans won't blink an eye about it. Meanwhile the House VA Committee is pitting veterans against each other because they want to "offset" costs of enhanced benefits for current veterans by cutting them for future vets.
