a little evolution of acorn jars 🤎 this ceramics class session i learned how to make lidded forms, and i’m on a quest to making the perfect acorn jar to stash my acorn collection in :^) the tiny pinch pot was the first, the one on the left was the second, and the right was my most recent attempt! 🍂

a photo of a trio of differently sized, shaped, and glazed acorn jars. in the front, there is a small pinch pot acorn jar with an ancient copper glaze body and matte black glaze for the cap. behind and to the left, there is a larger, wheel-thrown acorn jar with an ancient copper glazed body and textured brown lid. to the right, there is a wheel-thrown acorn jar with a warm brown speckled body and brown textured carved lid.

🟨 Inostrancevia 🟨 acrylic, gouache, and gloss medium Part of the Nucleus House Group Show: P.S. 9, opening on December 15th, Portland, OR. One of my three 5x7 postcard sized paintings that will be available in person and online. :) #paleoart

A traditional, painted illustration of the therapsid Inostrancevia, yellow on a black background. It rests its chest and front legs on the ground but has hackles raised, jowls parted to flash sharp fangs and teeth, chin tucked onto its dewlap. Occasional hairs and whiskers shoot off its wrinkly face and neck and rat like tail. A large star sits over the arch of its back. Leafy flora frames its silhouette.

I have lots of new ceramic work, all below $100cad available at the Jonathon Bancroft-Snell Gallery here in London, ON Please note that due to the ongoing postal strike, it is local sales only until further notice. Do swing on over to help artists and small businesses out this holiday season! 💛
