We have to reckon with the fact that Uncommitted really was what it said it was - a group of loyal partisan democrats trying to save the party from itself. This was obviously not the case with "Abandon Harris," but anyone conflating the two is doing so out of either ignorance or malice.

This is the right thing to say and I wholeheartedly support it and believe it but it is frustrating and aggravating that he's been saying this for months and months and, like Mamdani, some people on here take this as a rhetorical pivot after the primary rather than just sincerity.

This race was not fully determined by Michigan. Steven's campaign war chest came from AIPAC and a corporate PAC. The national Dem establishment also inserted itself by backing her, even when another moderate was in the race. Stevens proved to be a terrible candidate. www.axios.com/2026/07/16/m...

Well I don't know if Michigan did or did not screw up .... I hope that the candidate for Senate is able to communicate with The middle of the state and the Western areas of the state to pull enough votes to win.

The $30 million AIPAC wasted in Michigan, wasted trying to help Haley Stevens, could have been used to fully fund and deliver 6 million malaria nets to sub-Saharan Africa. Or, it could have fully paid for universal free school breakfasts in Mississippi, America's poorest state.

This is when she was really doomed

No matter the margin the story is that Haley Stevens got $70M of support, more than $30M of it from a single organization, and still lost.

I don't want Stevens to win, but my overarching priority is just retaining the seat, so if El-Sayed looks much weaker than expected, I'm not sure I want him to win either. Really not a great situation here folks!

Abdul built a primary campaign rooted in the belief that human rights are universal, and that we can invest in our communities instead of endless wars. He didn't back down on his commitments to end Israel's genocide and apartheid. Congratulations @abdulelsayed.bsky.social On to November!
