Access to condoms without a prescription in Ireland only came in 1985. We repealed the 8th. There's a lot of ways in which Ireland is still bad, but it is an entirely different country.

They are gifts to yourself to remind yourself that you still love you. I don't mean that in some bullshit narcissistic way, but some "I am deserving of good things, it is not my fault the world is unfair, I deserve joy" kinda way.
It is a completely normal part of the hobby. Looking at it and feeling shame isn't magically pious. In each and every single one of those boxes are all potential silver linings, capable of rescuing some of the worst weeks of your life.
