I had these shades for the screened porch for a while, but it was too hot to install them before Kyuperl passed. I got up early Saturday and sweated through it. Now the shades are a nice memorial letting us enjoy the porch she loved more often.

Dreading the weekend a bit with QP gone. She was my weekend buddy. I work apart from the birds during the week, so she'd sit on my shoulder for hours when she could on Saturday and Sunday.

Too sad to sleep, so I'm gonna post some Kyuperl lore, see if it cheers me up. Sonia named her for Cupil, a creature/weapon from the video game Skies of Arcadia.

Today, we lost Kyuperl. She was a little pearled cockatiel. Sonia got her in 2004. She was part of our lives for over 20 years.
