Back from Big Gay Boardgames up in King’s Lynn. We conquered Scotland in Rebirth and then gave each other mental afflictions in Side Effects. Great fun

Rebirth by Reiner Knizia. Side Effects showing I’d been given a gambling addiction, anxiety, impotence, and anorexia

It’s our 21st anniversary today. We never really do much for it but had a lovely dinner and some Star Trek. I do love him very much 🥰

Absolute scenes in the crochet community today. Sirdar have announced their next Crochet Along blanket is Harry Potter themed. They’re auto censoring comments that show support for trans rights or criticise Rowling. The craft community has always been welcoming. This isn’t it.

I love my little cosy murder shows. Today’s Sister Boniface Mysteries was about a convention for a TV show called Professor Y. He travels around time and space in a red telephone box and faces monsters that look like armoured pepper pots. I’m sensing a passing resemblance to something else

Walked to the shops earlier and a little shop in town here has this in the window. It’s a small thing, but really lovely to see someone saying this in a quiet little Norfolk town.

A pink cushion in a shop window with the slogan Protect The Dolls on itSelfie. Im a middle aged whoopsie outnin the sunshine and wearing a t shirt with Marcia Brady and the caption ‘Sure, Jan’. There’s a tiny little rainbow ghost badge on my chest.

Just caught up with the new Drag Race UK. Love KY Kelly and The Delta Quadrant. I wish Lucky had been able to walk properly in her runway outfit as that was stunning.

Titanic’s on and every time I hear ‘Jack, I want you to draw me like one of your French girls.’ I have to respond with the French and Saunders version: ‘What, on a bicycle with some onions?’

The world might be crap in so many ways. But Tom Hardy is still posting pics like this and I think that should be celebrated.

One of my fave bits of trivia is that Dolly Parton helped found one of the production companies that made Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Which is why Buffy shares Dolly’s birthday (January 19th)
