(he/him) Austin FC, Swoontower, Dragon Con, SXSW, hardcore/punk rock, general fun
HIGHLY recommend watching this video for 90 minutes instead of reliving the #AustinFC match in Houston.
Absolutely devastating- any adults in charge of overseeing this age group and having it happen under their roof need to be held responsible
New, on @us.theguardian.com - Austin FC’s academy is under investigation by Austin police and the FBI for allegations of sexual abuse amongst its players. Reporting w/@anabnos.com: www.theguardian.com/football/202...
If you’re not listening to this show and you like Stranger Things, or D&D, or silly teen comedy-dramas, you’re really messing up. It’s perfect.
Feeling thoroughly exhausted from this upside down reality they now live in, the kids keep their heads down through the weekend and focus on homework, but school on Monday proves that magic isn't the only thing bringing change to their world. Episode 14 is out! www.youngvale.com
PLAY THE KIDS ERVIN TORRES GAME WINNING ASSIST FOR ATX @soccerwisehq.bsky.social
Thanks, France-England 3rd Place Game, for showing the world why MLS is Good, Actually.
no idea what jude said here but off of messi's reaction i guarantee it is the singular reason why argentina won
Lamine Yamal was asked today about rightwing former Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy's criticism of France's team that it "does not have any French players." Yamal's response was yet another sign of how mature he is as a 19-year-old. And maybe how media-trained, but it was still impressive.
Look, it physically pains me to agree with Clay Travis but he's right. (And, brace yourselves, Lalas is stupid and wrong). I have a very, very strong hobby horse with all the things wrong with youth sports today, as someone who believes participating in sports is one of the best things for kids.
Taking a little pause from my writing here to remind all of you (or those of you who need reminding) that athletes who make mistakes are still human beings and should be treated as such. Thank you.
“I love World Cup and want to get into soccer, who should I follow?” Your local team/league. Pick something you can have a tangible connection to.
Shoutout the TSA guy who saw my Rapinoe USWNT jersey and got into “naming some players” with me while I was going through security this morning at Charlotte airport!
Can we move the game to Q2? He's a monster in our stadium

people always ask me why i drink so much iced coffee. i actually have a genetic condition where my body doesn’t produce it’s own iced coffee. so i have to make my own and drink it every single day.
For non-Americans: You know how gas stations have those little shops that sell candy and cigarettes? Okay, now have you ever been in a Gothic cathedral?
My first Bucees experience was life changing
ok now the announcers are right. Messi - 18 Marta - 17 everybody else. Think she stays internationally unretired to challenge the record again? In her home country? Imagine the scenes.
Men's World Cup history* Messi tying Marta is fun though
I know, after that performance, I'm thinking the exact same thing all of you are: Can Messi carry this form into the Leagues Cup?
Men's World Cup history* Messi tying Marta is fun though
My best 15 month creative/professional/athletic periods are so comparatively embarrassing 🤣🤣🤣 These dudes are just. different.

I had no idea @empiregass.bsky.social (of @kickbacksoccer.bsky.social / @soccerwisehq.bsky.social !) was making the leap to the big screen but I’m pretty sure I just saw him in the new Spider-Man trailer?
Dawning on me: a Harry Kane brace would make the CR7 stuff even funnier in the "stars can't stop scoring" discourse. One from Jude, too.
Unsurprisingly the quietest crowd all tournament is England.
Such a stupid rule to penalize a goalkeeper and reward the pk taker
