As much as I want to say that Capital One closed Trump’s accounts because he was laundering money, failing AML/KYC review does not necessarily mean that. Financial institutions decide all the time whether there’s a potential AML/OFAC violation and make risk decisions based on that potential.
Proof that you can work in the highest echelons of BigLaw and still be so fucking dumb that it’s painful.

Having previously been in-house at a financial institution, I cannot agree with this more. The amount of effort, overhead cost, and actual desire to fund compliance at major banks would be an anathema to Musk. Not that people on BlueSky would be inclined to bank there, but you never know.

We got a float to put Max in “water jail” so he can’t cause havoc while we’re in the pool and it’s the best $25 I’ve ever spent.
Practice tip: if you're in litigation with a company, you cannot reach out directly to the employees of said company (especially to their personal cell phones) to interview them when you know the company is represented by counsel.

Every men’s and women’s World Cup, I enjoy watching soccer so much and I always think I should watch more and get invested in it. But I literally just don’t have the time for watching/following another sport.
Not only that, but noise canceling headphones are available at any price point. If a crying baby bothers you on mass transportation, that’s on you.

Do you think the parent is having a good time right now?? Do you think they are not aware of the situation??? Are you going to negotiate with a literal infant????
