I don’t know if I could remain a gentleman and keep my hands to myself if you keep rubbing that firm backside into me all day today.” He further punctuated his impudence by giving her a gentle pat on her bottom. Nin was going to give him a good slap across the face for his overly friendly brazenness as she raised her hand, but Darach’s reflexes were so quick, she gasped with surprise when he caught her wrist. He had a grip like iron. With a smoldering look in his eye, he leaned down, his eyes pinning her in place. Her breath halted as she felt his warm breath caress along her skin. When his lips pressed against the center of her palm, her eyes fluttered shut. Dragging his mouth lower, the heat of his soft lips scorched her inner wrist until they brushed along the inner pulse point ending with a simple kiss. She suddenly wanted more.

Rain tells the truth about a city. In the daylight, San Francisco sells you brand stories and condos. In a rainstorm, the gloss washes off and you see what’s left—ghosts, grit, and the few restaurants still worth climbing a hill for. Sometimes, the honest version shows you it’s raw soul. #Writer
