Red wolves -- the "wolves of the South," as I think of them -- is one of the world's most endangered canids. So I was intrigued to hear Colossal Biosciences claim to have cloned the species. My latest, the cover story of the upcoming "Nature" issue of @technologyreview.com: ter.li/3475yjiw
Colossal Biosciences said it cloned red wolves. Is it for real?
The red wolf has long been a contentious species. The debate over its preservation got even messier last year, when Colossal said it had cloned the animal.

One of the best games I've played in recent memory. Full of moments that I will think about forever. Surreal, hyperreal, and small town familiarity all at once. There's nothing like it.

Norco is a masterclass in atmosphere. Every element - the haunting soundtrack, the striking pixel art, and the surreal narrative - works in perfect harmony. It is a deeply affecting experience from @geographyofrobots.bsky.social that stays with you long after the screen goes black. 🕹️
NORCO is a really special game! Lotta little moments that stick with you for years. Some wonderful artwork. Commits completely to a sense of place. Can’t to see this new project

This reminded me of the Teesside Steelworks near where I once lived and all the things that died with it. They got rid of it with the largest single explosive demolition in British history. store.steampowered.com/app/1221250/...

First person to attempt the NORCO City Hall puzzle irl.
I've bought NORCO three times, most recently the PS5 edition from @lostincult.co.uk, because it's such a great example of a game firing on all cylinders. I look at these and find myself nostalgic for a five year old game. "Oh, I remember where I was in that scene, and that scene, and that scene."
