😳 On August 6, Argentina will vote on a proposed Land Reform Law aiming to facilitate the purchase of rural land in Argentina by private investors. It seems they are preparing to “celebrate” with Peter Thiel. The bill was written by Sturzenegger who will appear at this Sept event with Thiel. 1/

My column on how capital becomes a death cult. Faced with a choice between profit and human life, the radical right chooses profit. Then it tries to persuade us that mass death is what we want. It's the new phase of climate denial: accept your fate, earthlings. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Murderous heat, an endangered food supply, decimated landscapes: embrace the Mediterranean life | George Monbiot

As climate disaster stares us in the face, the radical right says ‘Embrace the Mediterranean life’. Embrace death, more like it, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Booker: "Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in the lowest possible confinement after giving no information that helped us get one more investigation started and has been silent, and the man responsible for that we're about to make the attorney general of the US ... this is farcical."

Two faced BadEnoch criticising Labour re the Prison crisis when it was the Tories and specifically Sunak who knew it was a major issue that they didn’t address. In fact Sunak ran away.

Count Binface joined Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell on The Rest Is Politics, reciting Ancient Greek, defending his manifesto policy by policy, and arguing Farage has "already lost" the Clacton byelection regardless of the result. 😂

What the hell is the BBC 6pm news doing leading with Farage's clickbait about using the Royal Navy to stop immigrants? An absurd soundbite from a tiny party with a disgraced leader and that's the most important news in the UK today? Dear God. The rot has truly gone deep.

And 25% of voters would put these ridiculous moneyed fools in charge of the govt and treasury, would they? How many investigations into Reform’s dodgy finances are there now? I’ve lost count. And no, it’s not an ‘establishment’ plot. It’s just what happens when corruption/incompetence meets scrutiny

BREAKING: Parliamentary standards commissioner is now investigating Reform UK’s Deputy Leader Richard Tice (as well as its paused investigation into Nigel Farage). Tice is being investigated for allegedly failing to declare a financial interest.

1/I am seeing interviews with people who answer the financial misconduct charges against Farage by saying "they're all doing that..they are all corrupt.." Did they not watch the US elections on TV? That is exactly what people were saying about Trump. (cont)

What a beautiful evening of cultural exchange in Glasgow Central station where fans and athletes from across the Commonwealth get to interact with thousands of drunk teenagers heading to the Calvin Harris gig ❤️❤️❤️

Went to see #GaryNuman last night, support was Ladytron. #PieceHallHalifax Fantastic gig, great music and atmosphere. Shout out to 3 people on the balcony near the stage, the middle guy never stopped dancing all night. Respect. My hips aren’t up to it these days, sadly!
