A vigil for Tim Curry popped up below our poster for The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday night. Fear not if you missed out (we received many messages from people sad that they didn't snag advance tickets), The Rocky Horror Picture Show will return on September 25, and October 23, 24, 30, 31.

Ah the joys of taking costumes to conventions. In trying to remember to bring my swim suit because our hotel has a pool, I forgot part of one of my costumes and am now running out to pick up supplies to remake it in the hotel room.

A photo of a bathroom mirror. In the reflection can be seen 4 different costume pieces on hangers on one hook.

If people being mad about AI being a giant shit show and expressing various degrees of “don’t use AI, it’s terrible!” makes you feel bad because you use AI, that’s for you to sit with. Or, don’t go on social media, because anti-AI advocacy is going to continue with great vehemence for a looong time.

"AI" has existed in its current form for barely four years and the fact that it's jammed up the cognitive development of an entire generation that fast (and that there's a specific overclass of techofascists who are deeply thrilled about this) is a big damn red flag. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/17/u...

What Do Students Lose When They Stop Writing? (Gift Article)

Educators are worried that many students can no longer write essays without A.I. And it’s costing more than just grammar skills.

*Driver stops in the crosswalk, barely missing my husband, dog, and myself.* Me: Stop line is 6 feet behind you. Driver: I know. It happens. Me: Drive better. Driver: *Flips me off as they speed away on a 30km/h residential street.*

Went to a gym tonight for an Intro session. I've never been one for gyms, but I want better mobility and strength that cycling alone can't do for me. Among other things, I managed to do a 60 second wall supported hand stand. Felt so good. 💪

There’s a cottage industry of online grifters whose whole schtick is getting you to flagellate yourself for not investing yourself equally in every important thing happening in the world, when humans simply have limited time and capacity. You’ve gotta get your head above that stuff.

An Octranspo bus got stuck on our (closed for construction) street this evening. First two truck couldn't move it so they called in a bigger one. 2nd tow truck went to hook up, then noticed that they had a burst hydraulic line. Mechanic came to fix hydraulic line, but it's too far gone. 1/2

It was closed long ago, but it’s all coming back to me now. 👀✨  The Ottawa River Pathway behind Parliament Hill has officially reopened!  After major rehabilitation and renewal work, this iconic pathway is once again open. It connects you to the Ottawa River shoreline, the East Wharf, and more than 200 km of Capital Pathways across Ottawa-Gatineau, Gatineau Park, and the Greenbelt.  We’ve been working with federal partners to stabilize the escarpment behind the Supreme Court of Canada and remove the tunnel section of the pathway. This work helps protect public safety and strengthen climate resilience.   Come take a walk and see what’s new. 🚶‍♀️🚲

21 years ago today, Canada became the 4th country in the world, and 1st outside of Europe, to legalize same-sex marriage. The sky didn’t fall. Hell didn’t break loose. Only Canada’s capacity for love and acceptance increased. Now over 30+ countries have followed Canada’s lead.
