1. I could buy a tape/cd/vhs/DVD and know I could use it whenever, wherever forever. I OWNED my media. 2. My walkman/boombox/vhs/dvd player never had a tier system where I had to pay to skip built in ads. 3. Ai wasn't built into my old tech. I could turn clippy off and never deal with him again.

People are pining for old technologies—CD players, VCRs, Walkmans. What’s behind our longing for inconvenience? www.newyorker.com/culture/essa...

Every job deserves the dignity of a living wage. Yes, even burger flippers and warehouse workers. If you’re a person who went to college for four years and scoffs at the idea, then guess what…? You probably deserve to get paid more, too. Your boss is your enemy, not random workers.

People keep commenting shit like "He works in a warehouse how much did he expect to make?"-his EXACT quote was,"All you had to do was pay us enough to live." I'm glad no one was hurt, but he's right, and this won't be an isolated incident. People are gonna start losing it under this constant stress.

1. An incredible bill is moving fast in Maryland protecting transgender students. It would apply to ANY "program or activity," and would even include private schools. This would include sports, bathrooms, and more. It even has a private right of action. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Maryland Advances Bill That Would Protect Trans Students In "Any Program Or Activity"

The bill will confer significant protections in sports, overnight accommodations, and bathrooms if it passes.
