When I was training in martial arts I had an instructor give me a smooth JKD lesson: "Master the basics. Then, take what you need, and leave behind everything that doesn't serve you, until you're left with what is uniquely your own art." Cuz I've been there before I see when others get stuck.
I've seen some videos & pictures of the "new" Intersection Room at #PAXWest. It is not even set up to be able to be navigated by mobility devices. They kept some past signs about intersectionality despite displacing Black, Brown, & Disabled folks. It's not intersectionality if it's not accessible
