The United States is losing one of its most precious assets: its onetime status as the top destination for global talent. Current politicians are poisoning that well. The cost, shared by Conservative and Liberal Americans, will be incalculable and permanent.

Immigration changes are driving foreign researchers to leave the U.S. — or not come to begin with

Labs are seeing fewer applications from international students and researchers, and some doctoral students are considering leaving early.

Read this enraging story about the Trump regime's corruption of a civics contest (a civics contest!). And know that the reporter who wrote the hell out of it was laid off by WaPo six months ago. This poor young man, believing in institutions just as they all collapse. www.notus.org/national/ame...

Suspicion and Doubt at the National Civics Contest

America’s finest young scholars competed to mark their country's birthday. It led to a disputed finish in the age of mistrust.

Last year ICE said a man tried to murder a female ICE officer while she was trying to arrest him. They swore under oath he grabbed her by the neck and tried to choke her to death. He was even indicted for attempted murder. Problem is, it never happened! Bystander video unraveled the lie.

A Venezuelan man was accused of attempting to choke an ICE officer to death in Bellevue. Bystander video tells a different story

Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco was referred to by DHS as a “criminal illegal alien” and a “known Tren de Aragua terrorist.” The agency said he “violently attacked an ICE agent” by slamming her head into the ...

FREE SPEECH UNDER ATTACK: Marco Rubio just had a man arrested and jailed, and is seeking to deport him, because he publicly supported Petro and opposed a presidential candidate in Colombia that Donald Trump would prefer to be elected. He committed no crimes and had an asylum application pending.

Franklin Humberto Coral Garrido, a progressive online activist known as Beto Coral, is a supporter of President Gustavo Petro of Colombia, a leftist who has clashed with President Trump. He has publicly criticized Abelardo De La Espriella, a right-wing candidate backed by Mr. Trump. Mr.
Coral was arrested by immigration authorities on Tuesday, the same day Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a memo determining that he was deportable from the United States.
In the memo, Mr. Rubio noted that Mr.
Coral arrived in the United States in 2015 on a tourist visa and has a pending asylum application. But "Coral Garrido has used his presence in the United States to conduct political activity in support of the Petro government" and has advocated against a candidate for president, Mr. Rubio wrote, according to a copy of the memo obtained by The New York Times.

Same office that covered up prosecutor's crimes in the Broadview Six case just covered up a police shooting. Feds said a teen beat up a cop before he's shot. They have clear video evidence showing the kid just squirmed away from him. They hid it from the judge. Judge just set a sanctions hearing.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Keri Holleb Hotaling ordered the video’s public release Thursday after its discovery prompted federal prosecutors to drop charges related to an attempted robbery during an underc...

Any reporter who chooses to interview Trump (and I am not sure if that’s even a good idea!) should have a couple of these in their back pocket. Anything beats pleading what trouble you went through, which implies a kind of personal debt. Trump owes THE PUBLIC these answers, not a network.

It’s about to be a heyday for grifters with this $1.766B slush fund. But payouts for dubious cases have already started — they’re just not being covered in MSM. I wrote ab Alex Berenson — “The Pandemic’s Wrongest Man” — getting a $150k government handout for a case that had already been dismissed.

"In the alternate universe inhabited by The Federalist et al, the settlement is proof of a
''''Censorship Industrial Complex'''. In the universe where the earth is round and vaccines don't cause
autism, what happened is more mundane: a plaintiff once again couldn't prove the Censorship Complex theory in a courtroom, so the DOJ cited a Trump executive order as justification, and wrote a check."

They did this with Avelo planes they bought for their DHS “deportation” fleet, too. Avelo source told me told me they were offered “fuck-you money” and snatched it right up. Real stewardship of our tax dollars, huh?
