Everyone gets fooled sometimes, but if you credulously post an image or video that people reply to tell you is fake/AI-generated and you leave it up anyway (because “it’s still funny” or whatever) you’re making the misinformation problem worse and will be blocked immediately.

There’s never been anyone whose involvement more completely and immediately poisons vibes and destroys joy. No good thing survives contact.

Yeah, this is the point. Everything that bastard gets involved with turns to shit. How much more evidence do we need??

There was a time period where speaking your thoughts online made an impact. Twitter being one of the main catalysts of that, but that time is long gone. The point of bluesky isn't to influence US politics, it was created to have a space that wasn't influenced by a giant fuckhead Nazi.

Nuance. Without getting caught in the argument here, EVERYTHING is a net negative with us politics because one side is caught up with trying to say their way is better and the other side too fucking brainwashed that they're literally harming themselves. Twitter doesn't matter either.

It's hard to avoid the conclusion that Bluesky has been a net negative for US politics. They corralled everyone on the left into a little glass fishbowl where they shout at one another & everyone else ignores them. Meanwhile, all the pols & institutions stayed on X & are being dragged farther right.
