Western Europe is at the end of a 40 year experiment – with Easten Europe having joined it around 35 years ago. The experiment was to see what "trickle-down" neoliberalism delivered. We can say for sure now that it delivered: 🔻Greater inequality 🔻Stagnant growth 🔻Poorer services 🔻Reduced investment

Weird listening to Nick Robinson interrogating Zarah Sultana on Political Thinking given his tag line: “not for a news-y interrogation, but for an extended and relaxed conversation”. When he chats to conservatives, that’s very much what it is. I’m glad he is grilling her but where’s the consistency?
