a lot of bigger places have used it as an excuse for their layoffs or downsizing, because it’s an easy thing to point at, but the reality is what Diana is saying. I feel like the streaming bubble had us by the neck, & isn’t being as criticized, but it should be. We should be boycotting.

People want to sell that AI is taking jobs away in animation but tbh, at least from my viewpoint as a worker in the US, a lot of shows staffing up are still working the same pipeline as before. There's just not as many shows due to a) correction from streaming bubble and b) more importantly, greed

Everyone knows Hollywood is fucked, but most people don't actually know why. The studios used the strikes as cover to cancel a full 1/3rd of TV production across the board. 1/3 of TV cast & crew are out of work. Fully. There just aren't jobs for them. Many are people who made your favorite shows.
