Disney TVA may be developing a new animated ‘Gargoyles’ project, according to Brent Spiner on his podcast Dropping Names with Brent and Jonny: “They are doing Gargoyles again, I was told this morning. It’s another animated series.”

One under-recognized reason that there are more autism diagnoses in adults these days, beyond increased recognition, is that society is disabling, and it's disabling in ways that it wasn't 20 years ago. 20 years ago, if you were a software engineer, you worked in an office. Now an open plan floor.

That's just one example. There are hundreds. Restaurants are louder. Our work is more micromanaged. Social supports are collapsing and cost of living is increasing. Autistic-friendly jobs have been eliminated. It's even harder to build friendships. Etc.

These are significant social changes. Want less people claiming disability diagnosis? STOP FUCKING BUILDING A SOCIETY THAT DISABLES A HUGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE.

Not to mention if you’re single it’s harder, and the fact that any weird thing you do could be broadcast to the internet at any moment

The “better” generative AI gets, the clearer its shortcomings become. Every piece of AI “art” has the same gloss. Every AI flyer has the same aesthetic. They’re the homogenized average of all AI’s ripped and anyone can tell now - and avoid your business. “When everyone’s super, no one will be.”
