While I wait to test my mods... Not even Halloween and I'm scared out of my wits 😱 as I cut into a 40 year old plastic case for the Magnavox CM8562 (a sister of the Commodore 1084) in order to add analog RGB via the DIN and SCART ports. But I think I did ok! 😏

At the same time as the 1530, I acquired this lovely board. Has faults, but looks like new. I suspect it's either a faulty VIC-II or the LS258 at U14. Not ruling out the old PLA or its associated logic U15 / U27 though.

Tried replacing the drive with no luck. Then I see why. This is an Australian Wii. Good grief, how did he even acquire such a thing? Time to explore homebrew. 🤪

It passed the smoke test! No magic smoke!! 👾🎉😁 6 caps, 3, diodes, 27 resistors, and 9 transistors later, the composite is still working 😆 I don't have anything to test the RGBi. I have to create a cable to test the Analog RGB (the changes I made) - those parts don't arrive until tomorrow. 🤞

So I got my hands on a Magnavox RGB 80 (CM8562) .. which a sister of the Comodore 1084 .. one of the variants. It only has composite and RGBi (CGA) .. but on the motherboard, there's circuitry for Analog RGB ... should I add in those missing parts ... or ?!?

The Commodore Amiga 1000 is all back together! Nice and clean inside, though I still have to inspect and detail the keyboard. The Parceiro II+ really does a good job updating the system with 8MB of RAM and SD card hard drive partitions -- it loads Kickstart and then boots into Workbench right away.
