Gooner, following the Arse since 1978. Telling it like it is or like I see it anyway. Married to APS ♥️❤️

I don't know if people understand the scale of the transfer spending that certain clubs have done since 2020 (data from Transfermarkt). If you look at the net spend (purchases - sales) you get one picture of the way teams have worked (or failed) in the market:

Net Transfer Spend since 2020:

Tottenham €970m
Man U €952m
Arsenal €928m
Chelsea €879m
Liverpool €794m
Man City €753m

I have never seen coverage of a live trial, one involving allegations of multiple sex attacks on multiple women, framed in a more distasteful way. It's not 'Fame under fire' it's a rape trial. And it involves actual women. And this from the *checks notes* BBC

BBC screengrab from within their Russell Brand trial coverage. Image of Brand in 70s-style aviator glasses, with earpods in, blank expression. Long dark wavy hair, black and grey beard, dark unbuttoned shirt. All on a fire red/orange and black background
BBC logo top and centre, underneath a subdeck reading: Fame Under Fire. Then the headline 'Russell Brand On Trial'.
The words 'fire'and 'trial' are coloured to look like they are glowing orange at the bottom

They said William Saliba wasn't in the team pic. I couldn't have that, so I fixed it via good old fashioned Photoshop, none of this generative Ai bollocks.

Arsenal team picture 2026-27

At this time when football has been stolen by liars & cheats; the national game wrecked; it’s important to honour Ken Friar; his humour, his decency, his respectful manner but always with a mischievous twinkle. He knew for twenty years what Arsenal were faced with and he always did the right thing.
