As far as I can see, the success of Chelsea FC's appeal against a 6-point penalty hinged on the appeal board finding that having players like Eden Hazard and Willian (173 goals for Chelsea combined) did not confer a sporting advantage.

If this (from Hand of Arsenal) is true then it confirms that City and Chelsea are deliberately overpaying to overheat the market and make it difficult for their rivals. By not punishing City for their 115 offences (WTF is going on?), the Premier League are colluding with them.

The 2026 World Cup will go down as the watershed moment that the beautiful game died, its soul gutted and sold to the highest bidder, while the entire world watched. It only gets worse from here.
