Professional dog walker that ran for Congress 2025-26 (D.C. Delegate). Campaign donations still help, https://gordonchaffin.com | Dog work referrals appreciated, https://dcdogcare.com | I also lead a community nonprofit Friends of Met Branch Trail.

People are right to be mad about the predictable Platner fiasco, but it's worth remembering that last year a ton of establishment Democrats supported disgraced sexual harasser Andrew Cuomo against clean-as-a-whistle Zohran. Tolerating problem men is an issue across the ideological spectrum.

I watched four international news broadcasts this evening. Trump cheating with Balogun call was top news story on 3 of 4. It’s not structural but this moment may well be a notable in his eventual political autopsy. It’s got that texture to it.

The embarrassment of celebrating Trump’s corruption and cheating at the World Cup. Jeffries telling the world the Democratic Party also supports corruption at the world stage. Pathetic.

NEW: We defeated a lawsuit seeking to block new housing on upper Connecticut Avenue NW. The lawsuit challenged zoning changes that will allow multifamily housing in the DC neighborhood with the fewest affordable units. We’re fighting for more homes to drive down housing costs for everyone in DC.

The July 4th National Mall fireworks show is scheduled at 10:30-11:10p this year (tentatively, might even be later than that), about 1.5 hours later than normal, double length. A very big change for bars/rooftop parties and for families who normally might take their kids to it

I end my Saturdays at a long dog walking appt with Kobe, the girl pup who loves adventures in NE D.C. neighborhood of Carver Terrace. I worked with her on training early to reduce her reactivity to new people on and off leash. Look at her roll in the grass (I checked for dead stuff)! dcdogcare.com

We keep doing this. Sometimes reporters learn things from sources who say “you can put this in the book but if you publish it now I will systematically work to discredit you.” And, fun fact, we don’t know from the outside that they’re being discredited for BS reasons!

Maybe it’s naïve at this point, but it bothers me that filing pertinent information away for a future book while working as a journalist isn’t considered a conflict of interest.

That's the problem with the Dems (and every other center left party) when they don't win an election, they try to appeal to the voters of the winner of the election, instead of trying to appeal to the people who didn't vote at all.

Okay, wait. Did people read this line from the FOMC… “The Federal Open Market Committee approved the following statement for release by a 12 – 0 vote:” …to mean the actual policy vote was unanimous? Because I definitely didn’t.
