Concept Art / Visual Dev / World Building Prev. Roll7 - Looking for work opportunities! https://www.artstation.com/graeg

Not gonna lie, this beginning of the week has been pretty stressful with all the layoff at Microsoft, especially since I'm reaching my last month of pregnancy. So I'm spending some time working on the flora of Raizh at night as well visiting botanical gardens... It's good for my mental health! 🌸

We are starting to see the first previews of Star Wars: Galactic Racer come out and, with them, the first few glimpses at the UI 🤩 Can't wait to share more of what we've been working on!

Legitimately? This is how I genuinely and truly feel about the use of any generative software in creative endeavors. If I see you use it once? It shatters the trust I have in your vision, because seeing that indicates to me that you didn’t actually think about the vision very hard at all!

People like Kane and many many others that do care about human art and the creative process have been a beacon of hope while trying to navigate making art in this current climate.

CBS MORNINGS ON YOUTUBE (JUNE 4, 2026)

Interviewer: I read that you do not want to embrace Al.

Kane: Absolutely not.

For me the whole point of doing what I'm doing-art is a way of processing life. I don't see the value in outsourcing any element of that.

When I'm looking at someone else's project, if I see an element of the environment [where] they use generative fill or whatever to change something about the scene, it just shuts off the part of my brain that wants to know more about that world. Because I would assume if they're willing to make an arbitrary choice there, they could make an arbitrary choice with literally anything.

In addition to designing most of the characters +some enemies, drawing portraits for everyone with additional 2D art (spells, item icons, etc etc), I also wrote a couple of NPCs (one of which is quite a riot to HANG around!) and several text adventures that are available in demo portion of the game😎🙏

ENTROPY is our child of love, and it's getting so much of our passion and ideas poured into it that I REALLY hope you will give our demo a chance, so it could possibly speak to you and your tastes -- both in gameplay and storytelling! steamcommunity.com/app/3940340/...

EVERY artist absolutely ADORES art made people who are not trained. We all look at it with absolute joy because it feels like the purest art that's possible. We have all this training, but with it comes a lack of purity, and we spend our entire lives in futility trying to achieve that purity again.

People who use AI to make images on their behalf have no idea how much their actual art would be loved not just by normal people, but also the artists they're stealing from by using it.

If you want to iterate faster and ship more stable builds, you should learn about writing automated tests. I'm offering a few one-day public workshop on test automation in video games, for both unreal and unity devs, Pay What You Want. automatedaf.dev/workshops

I work closely with studios to help them get the most out of test automation, so they can ship more stable builds more easily. Part of that is training a team to understand what good tests look like a...
