Yesterday I was walking out the front door of my apartment block and met my post lady. She said, "You're number 6, aren't you?" and I said, "Yes, that's right." As a lifelong fan of The Prisoner, I hang my head in shame.

I am going through Bram Stoker’s earliest notes on DRACULA today - they include a list of the powers and features of the Count (then named “Wampyr” before Stoker stumbled on “Dracula”), many of which are never elucidated in the book…

So glad I will get to experience watching The Odyssey as someone who doesn’t care that it’s a poem or whatever, you won’t catch me caring about its faithfulness, I will simply be whispering to the person next to me “that’s the horse” when the Big Wooden Horse appears
