Reading my first full Wendell Berry book (which I'm ashamed to admit as a Kentuckian) and it's super inconsistent (mostly good + almost exceeds agrarian romanticization + weird chapter on sexual fidelity's connection to agriculture) but I loved this quote:

For some reason, our refrigerator and freezer don't come back on after a power outage correctly, so I just dealt with a freezer full of food that had unthawed for a week or two. It was horrific. (Usually a friend would handle this while we're traveling but they had to travel too unexpectedly.)

"When the first of August came round, the Professor realized he had pleasantly trifled away nearly two months at a task which should have taken little more than a week." -Willa Cather (from The Professor's House, 1925)

Well, they blocked me for a while, but now it's unblocked. Idk. I missed you all. Headed back to Taiwan tomorrow! Also Taiwan has decided green 乖乖 are too powerful to export; Austin only had yellow and red.

Also Texas won't let me use BlueSky on my laptop without verifying my age, which I'm not going to do, but for some reason my cellphone is fine. If the cellphone gets blocked I'll see you all next month
