Music and music-adjacent sounds. Makes records, listens to records. American resident of Poland. https://linktr.ee/granto_music My flea market version of Terry Riley's In C: https://gregorynieuwsma.bandcamp.com/album/terry-rileys-in-c-flea-market

A rogue spy who bugs foreign embassies and then uses those sensitive recordings as a subtly evolving soundbed on which to summon a richly interwoven sonic tapestry of granularized folk melodies and achingly languorous feedback drones as an elegy for our once better collective aspirations.

Absentee ballot sent. For safety measures, sent to my parents. They'll drop it in the ballot drop box in the district I'm registered in (where they live). Not taking any unnecessary chances.

I've been playing with this for a couple of days now, and it's one of my new favorite things. This is completely apart from the fact that I get to (virtually) jam with some of my biggest musical heroes and inspirations, which is a great bonus, not gonna lie.

I know many of you will get a blast out of this: mix multiple recordings of 'In C' (including two different Acid Mothers Temple versions!) together at varying speeds: incync.space/incync.html (courtesy of today's Web Curios @mattmuir.bsky.social )

What a day: -we had to put the cat to sleep 😥 -my son's acceptance to university was confirmed 🤩 -my wife got a job offer 🤩 -work kept me for 14 hours 😵‍💫 -a friend is staying with me and work kept him for 14 hours 😵‍💫 One for the books. Now, sleep.

A melody that i wrote maybe 20 years ago that never went anywhere suddenly popped into my head today. I sat down with the guitar, now in a tuning I didn't play then, and...maybe there's something there.

I'm working on a record cover and shared a few concepts with my son and his response for three out of four of them was "too corporate" and while the choice is now clear I also understand I need to re-think everything.
