Yo ye pharoahs, let us walk through this barren desert, in search of truth and some pointy boots, and maybe a few snack crackers Minnesota NoICE - Minneapolis 🏳️‍🌈

Come on people. "The widespread accessibility of DNA tests has unraveled cases across the world where fertility doctors have been found to be biological fathers. More than 50 fertility doctors in the United States have been accused of fraud for donating sperm."

Dr. Dennis Lutz, the chairman of the University of North Dakota’s OB-GYN department, did not deny the claims in a lawsuit. The university said it intends to fire him.

Fauci hearing underlines how much was broken (especially brains) during 2020 and COVID. We're still dealing with the inflation and the mistrust of science and public health. Maybe everything has to be partisan now, but it's nuts how many people still want to "take sides" on a global pandemic.

120 Minutes was one of those things I love/hated at the time, waiting through songs I wasn't crazy about (soooo much Love and Rockets) for the surprise gems, but there is no denying its lasting influence. RIP Dave

120 MINUTES was an absolute oasis in pre-internet pop culture. So many bands that you could ONLY find there (TV-wise) became ubiquitous online later (and relatively recently). A pioneer. consequence.net/2026/07/dave...

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Here is Graham gloating about "killing all the right people." Just in case you see anyone try to do the whole "we should have decency for the dead" nonsense.

I don't like to speak ill of the dead so I'll get this out now, Mitch McConnell has been one of the most damaging people to our system of government in US history, and I give him much of the blame for the cynicism many Americans have adopted towards our democracy

Doing a little wallowing tonight, thinking about how many US adults have not seen healthy three branches of government in their entire lives. Do people remember what a democratic Congress is supposed to do? That laws should be passed by the legislature and not executive orders and court decisions?

Minneapolis police rarely responded to immigration-related emergency calls during Operation Metro Surge, even as the department spent $10 million on overtime and standby pay preparing for unrest that largely never materialized.

Minneapolis police rarely responded to ICE calls but still spent millions on overtime

The MPD prioritized preventing large-scale civil unrest over responding to calls from residents concerned about unlawful force by ICE, and racked up huge OT costs doing it.

"so what's your take?" "I gotta get in shape now. Too much sitting has ruined my body. Too much abuse has gone on for too long. From now on, it’ll be 50 push-ups each morning, 50 pull-ups. There’ll be no more pills, no more bad food, no more destroyers of my body." "Oh 100% agree"

“so what’s your take?” “the city of New York must pay me $1 million cash in the next hour and I will kill one person for every minute they are late” “100% disagree”

Local governments reconstruct street infrastructure in order to keep your clean water flowing, sewage moving, and the street surface from crumbling. The safety and transit features of these projects are not the reason they happen. It’s the silver lining.

Would it blow your mind if I told you the Lyndale Ave reconstruction isn't a bike project? » The Wedge Times-Picayune

At a meeting Monday night at the Uptown VFW, organized by a group called “Vibrant Lyndale” (made up of Andrea Corbin and many of the same faces from the Uptown Association), business owners presented…

What is the mental illness via which someone becomes very legalistic and wants you to quote chapter and verse of policies and governance for simple routine things? Anyway, I got to talk with one of them today.
