(also wdym all the spoofs "we saw" were easy to notice... If they succeeded at a more subtle one, uh, are you sure you would you notice? 😅)

People looking for inexpensive models for coding are sleeping on Xiaomi's mimo-v2.5-pro. It's no Kimi 3 but for well-scoped tasks it absolutely does the job. I've had it cranking on some small features/chores in a loop for the past two hours, and so far the bill racked up is about $1.50.
I was begrudgingly willing to admit that YouTube had me pegged as a middle aged guy when I started getting hair loss treatment ads. But now it's switched to all ads for for-profit college and... An online coding bootcamp accelerator?! Given my search history that second one's just insulting.
Good read "Ominous... a new system being developed by CVS, in which customers... can unlock shelves from their phones." I go to Walgreens monthly for my rx's and used to buy floss etc at the same time. But they've trained me not to wait. If I have to use my phone anyway, I'm just gonna use Amazon.

@dollspace.gay I have been tinkering with building an agent/harness recently and started using chainlink. Adding the task tools / focus-reminder hook *really* dials up the competence by a LOT. Great cli tool - thank you!

Everybody acting like bluesky downtime only happens because of AI code is showing their youthful naivete. Back in 2012 you'd see the fail whale on twitter all the time, with authentic, handcrafted server overload like mama used to make.
I loved all the updates about the Artemis mission while it was happening, and I am equally excited to read my feed which is now a continuous stream of engineers showing off whatever component they worked on, saying "I made this! And it flew IN SPACE! And it WORKED!"
