For some reason this morning remembered watching The Outer Limits in the 90s. Then remembered it was a remake of the original series from the 60s. Apparently "The New Series" is not available for streaming in Canada? Or maybe it is from AppleTV but no thanks. But the Original is on Tubi! It's good!

Since I couldn't get what I wanted with a #PowerShell Universal App, I wrote my own Dashboard using #PSHTMLWrite. So now I use PowerShell Universal to run that script every 5 minutes and save the HTML file to the web server. I am pleased with myself. PSHTMLWrite is AMAZING.

After a long, long time, I'm thinking about changing one of my laptops from KDE Neon to a different distro. Neon recently switched from XDG to Plasmalogin which broke my ability to sign into it via RustDesk which is the primary way I access the laptop. Not sure how viable it is to go back to XDG…
I like that @microsoft.com has been improving File Explorer in Windows 11 but it feels like since those improvements, right-clicking has become infuriating. Often, I go to click on something just as explorer decides to add another option into the right-click menu causing me to click the WRONG THING.
May there be a special place in hell for whoever decided the first day back after a long weekend was a good day to do fire the alarm testing.

On Windows I still prefer SecureCRT for SSH overall but Electerm (electerm.org) is really growing on me! As an added bonus it handles ANSI so I can use it to connect to BBSs in a pinch.

I really enjoy PowerShell Universal I just wish the web design stuff wasn't so clumsy. It's hard to fit all the information I want into a sign screen. While with a custom app I can fit everything I need and more with far less screen real estate.
Silly little password/passphrase generator I wrote in Python. Helps me quickly generate more secure passwords that users might actually stick with rather than just changing it to something stupid and at the bare minimum of our requirements.
Lethbridge has a water park called Henderson Lake Outdoor Pool (visitlethbridge.com/locations/he...) and it is fantastic and my kids love it. I very much think #medhat should consider converting Echo Dale into something like this. It was clean, well managed and we never felt our kids were unsafe.

Medicine Hat is disproportionately awful for restaurant issues. Wednesday Taco Bell had an issue and had to close as we pulled to the drive-thru. Tonight Wayback had their fryer go down as I arrived to pick up. Tim’s here raised their prices when other in the region have not. Also gas is more here
I play a stupid game with Facebook on mobile. I see how many things I can view before they inject something I don’t follow into my news feed, forcing me to report it as spam, block it and close the app for the rest of the day. Today was 4! On a good day I can get through 10 or more, a bad day none.
Every time we discuss mass surveillance, these are the horrors that happen. Because the abusers are in the system, and use it to harm. Tech-enabled abuse, at mass scale, impacting real people, real lives. Violating the victim 100's of times.

Today's beef is with @cisco.com Meraki for forcing me to use a new, inferior Dashboard starting on the 26th where I can't even filter by SSID or Subnet. Enshitification indeed. Bouquet to Cambium Networks for outstanding support and really great equipment!
I've been testing out Passbolt the last few weeks. It's solid but there's a few things from the Bitwarden browser app that I definitely miss.
Latest release of #NSClient++ didn't like my #Nagios setup (check_nt stopped being able to connect to port 12489). Started writing commands querying nscp's API. Little clumsy configuring the Nagios side (defining commands) but think I can gather the same info eventually then can upgrade NSClient++
