Film you've watched more than six times with a gif Hard mode: No Star Strek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli. As a teen I'd watch whatever anime I could get my hands on until the VHS tape wore out. EoE was up there in rewatches, and so was this.

Sadly it's not showing anywhere remotely close by, but I did get a chance to see it in theatre a few years ago and it was totally worth it.

I feel like this would fall apart very quickly if it were actually challenged. There's plenty of evidence that the concept was wildly in use prior to the film. It's not even the first adaptation of the material. This would be like trying to copyright a fairy tale or an urban legend.

I feel like a lot of people were afraid this would happen. They just... own the backrooms concept now I guess. Frustrating
There's a lot that could be said about this, not the least of which is that Tolkien wouldn't have supported this shitty project. But it's really just a lazy, racist excuse to cast all white. Middle-Earth was not a real place, and you have the creative freedom to make artistic choices in adapting it.

Anime Costco except they don't stock anything more then a few months old. It's not hard to see how this feeds into Sonys push to drive people to an all digital environment. They bought the biggest physical media retailer for anime in NA and have in the span of a few years completely dismantled it.

This is the core problem. Whether a senator is a Democrat or a Republican, they're all still peers and friends. They are not friends with grocery store clerks or uber drivers or janitors. Whatever disagreements they might have, they're still on the same team. And that team doesn't include you.

The percentage of Americans who believe in the Rapture and that they are living through the biblical end times is about that same as those who support Trump and think he's doing good job. Just a funny little coincidence I'm sure.

One possible reading of this (very stupid) definition of a women means that a woman who has gone through menopause, like 60 year old J.K. Rowling for instance, would cease to be a woman once her ovaries shrink and stop producing eggs.

Pledges and policies are irrelevant if they don't get atmospheric CO2 levels down, which to date they haven't. Year over year the amount of CO2 in the air continues to go up. This doesn't mean you should embrace doomerism but thinking that we're "doing great" is demonstrably false.
I highly recommend that everyone follow artists. If you do, your feed is filled with art every day. Real, original art. It's bonkers that you can even have this. Amazing. Undeniably cool. And then support those artists, when you can, because that helps the delight continue.
The only thing that makes social media tolerable is the ability to block people you don't want to deal with. There is no shame in it. I don't hang out with random racists and assholes offline, and I have no interest in listening to their bullshit online.

This isn’t my job. It’s probably not yours, either. It’s not our responsibility to ruin our days on a Nazi hellsite or to talk to dummies here.
There is nothing that could've been said that would have pleased the lunatics out there who are obsessed with this show and who took it as some insane insult / betrayal that the finale was getting a theatrical release a couple weeks ahead of the free online release.

I really just can't keep my heart in this thing anymore. It's gotten too much bigger than me, & I probably shouldn't be the figurehead of it.

What else is there to say? Anything else is just going to give the leakers more attention. Shame though, this is definitely going to lead to people shouting "Snape kills Dumbledore" type spoilers at fans in theatres on opening night. Don't be that asshole. Let people watch their cartoon in peace.

It should be said that this comes from a very small, non-peer reviewed study, but the results aren't surprising. These systems seem to be capable of a lot of poorly understood harm, and the people pushing for everyone to adopt this tech aren't very curious to find out just how harmful they might be.

I know to Americans this sounds like a bunch of idiots are mismanaging their country into the ground. And it is, at least partially. But from North of the border this sort of talk feels a lot more ominously like the sort of thing you'd say as part of a campaign to justify seizing parts of Canada.

Something Americans might not understand, and which the administration definitely doesn't, is that this started as a grass roots movement. Lots of Canadians were aggressively boycotting as many American products as they could before the provincial liquor authorites stepped in and formalized the ban.

This will make jobs "more interesting", just not in ways that'll be good or useful. I also can't wait to see how this will be applied to Dayforce to somehow make it less reliable than Phoenix.
