when my wife and i are watching reacher, we often talk to reacher, for example "go reacher go!" and "that's right, reacher!" and "mess those guys up, reacher!"
Every reporter who was on board Air Force One when Trump abandoned it as a decoy to be attacked knows exactly which administration staffers were also left as sitting ducks there. There's a real opportunity here to get some inside dirt from people who have every right to be bitter and spiteful.

i don't know what i expected from a matcha yuzu krispy kreme, but it was a... subtler experience than i was ready for. i can now say i have tasted a bitter doughnut.

both by nature and upbringing, i don't think i really noticed or understood that the world revolves around giving people little gifts and frequent small talk until i was... 40? i think it took a book about primate social grooming plus persona games for me to even start getting it
i once went to the bathroom in a bar in munich, came out, & everyone was staring silently at the tv. i asked a waitress what was up. "they chose the new pope, and he is german." "congratulations!!!" - she gave me a look i can't describe. only learned later he was in the hitler youth etc.

They were too stupid to understand the source of American hegemony and memed each other into thinking they lived in a failed state because there wasn't enough bravado in our imperialism. Took less than a year to wreck the whole edifice. Incredible

i liked disclosure day. it's not really spielberg's fault that its central concept (that any information, any at all, could be successfully "disclosed" on a particular "day" to today's humans) is no longer valid

OK, i will only be thinking about donkey kong bananza for at least the next 48-72 hours. thought it was another 2d platformer, but it's as big / deep / addictive as my possibly favorite mario game of all time, super mario 3d world (& i now know a lot of the same developers were involved)
