“Inshallah” is the traditional phrase Muslims use when you’re trying to make plans for a group outing, but they don’t really want to commit a solid yes/no.

After my parents were visiting set for the first time, I asked my dad what he thought. He said “I didnt realize, it’s like you’re building a house, and once an hour good looking people run in and put on a play for five minutes. Then they leave and you go back to construction.”

A lot of lives pass through my hands in my line of work. my takeaway is that we are all part of such a bigger humanity than we can ever imagine.

Ethical art is art that treats everyone involved in the process (from materials to production to creative labor) fairly and with respect—not art that adheres to a specific set of content guidelines. Don't confuse genre trappings or marketing buzzwords with the real obligations we have to each other.
