I crunched the numbers on my not-very-scientific survey of why people don't plant native plants. 210 people answered this Q. I read through the comments & categorized concerns into 10 categories. Most common reasons were 1) Lack of Knowledge 2) No Time 3) Money 4) No good source for native plants

a bar graph of the 10 most common reasons that people don't plant native plants. 25% of the respondents said a lack of knowledge about what to plant was a problem, then 18% said no time, 17% said no money, 15% said no plant availability near them, 14% said HOAs or Landlords got in the way, 12% were afraid of failing, 10% said their health made it hard to plant stuff, 8 said they had no land, 7% said native plants are ugly, 5% said that animals eat the native plants, 3% said they only had limited space and chose to plant food for them instead of native plants, 3% said they couldn't get invasive species under control, and 3% said their ADHD gets in the way of completing projects

Alright I have a question for *all of you*, esp for those of you who are not into environment stuff. When you think about planting native plants in the area you control, what *prevents* you from taking that action? These could be emotional, financial, practical, anything. RTs appreciated here.
