Bluesky hired a head of communications six months ago and still has staff popping onto their official personal profiles, with their faces and everything, to say "Thanks for asking... Yes! Here, you can wish out loud for every trans person to die! That, specifically, isn't against our rules."
so the official bluesky policy position is that you can't tell someone to kill themselves but you can tell a protected minority category that you hope that state kills them. Am i getting that right.
Aaron Rodericks@aaron.bsky.team · 2w agoAre they threatening trans users directly? No. Trans folks in the US have been targeted repeatedly. That's awful and you have my sympathy. Within the context of a single post we wouldn't consider it a direct threat or targeting a protected category. Ie send trans folks to concentration camps.
