hey @happyview.dev i'm sorry to break it to you, but there's a new fastest appview in town... indexing all `community.lexicon.calendar.event` and `community.lexicon.calendar.rsvp` records a whooping 3.4% faster (and with 13 records more)

contrail and happyview benchmark comparison Contrail SQLite 10×3: 43.92s, all 20,882 records HappyView SQLite 10×3: 45.47s, 20,869 recordslucky luke is faster than his shadow, like contrail is faster than its shadow (happyview) too

I've (finally) leveraged HappyView for the backend of my new time tracking app (time.chrispardy.dev) Specifically I'm leveraging the private spaces so that time log entries don't live publicly. Overall it was easy to setup and deploy and get working as the backend to a static frontend.

We are /so close/ to having proper support for service proxying. With that, HappyView will be able to operate as a totally normal AppView. You'll lose the magic that comes with authenticating users directly thru HappyView, but you'll be able to proxy calls thru a PDS to HappyView. #atproto

New interface for tracking backfills in @happyview.dev. It updates in real-time to provide a much better view into how the backfill is going. Backfill jobs can also resume after a restart now, which wasn't always the case. #atproto

An upgraded backfill view in HappyView. It has a new detailed view of a backfill job, with an updating status table showing the current backfill stage, as well as how many repos/PDSs/records it's found.

So I'm adding a few things: - proper backfill resume - better, more frequent reporting - add PLC and per-PDS rate limit handling (whoops) This won't speed up the backfill, but it will make it more reliable and understandable. Should be able to release tomorrow.
