@sifa.id, it would be cool to have an event record that underlies the talks/presentations so that events could have these records embedded and a speaker could claim it to their profile. also it would be cool to build a calendar view of talks and you could also advertise availability for speaking

When the network drops, requests normally throw. The experimental 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚕.𝚞𝚜𝚎𝙾𝚏𝚏𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 flag keeps them pending and retries on reconnect. A companion 𝚞𝚜𝚎𝙾𝚏𝚏𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚎 hook reports when you're offline, so you can render some UI to let your users know.

(imo) the reason why china is so pro-AI is due to their communist? ideals and guardrails (limits on energy consumption, open source/weights, etc.) the biggest US companies today just happen to be AI and thus wield unreasonable power under late stage capitalism while circumventing democratic checks

This. I don't think anyone is really anti-AI. They're anti-the-companies-pushing-AI. LLMs have some really incredible use cases. They can be assistive technologies, help with mental load, and allow you to focus more on the present than an endless stream of tasks or your phone.
