The Milo stuff is the perfect picture of fascism. You think you're protected because you go as big as you can on racism, you spend years harassing the movement's perceived enemies, you even disavow your own sexuality. They'll still throw you in a cage over the tiniest disagreement already forgotten.

And now, a random selection of some of the weird, bizarre, and ridiculous clauses I've seen landlords try to insert into leases (all are illegal ofc). 1. (For a single family home) milk may only be brought in through the back door. All other groceries may come in through the front door.

3. A clause saying that the tenant agreed not to have sex with anyone in the unit unless the landlord could join in. 4. A clause attempting to get around Illinois domestic violence law by saying the tenant explicitly agrees that if domestic abuse happens to the tenant,

If I am reading this right the report says people might react violently to stop trans genocide so if you discuss the genocide of trans people (which international genocide experts have said is happening in the US) you are a terrorist. They're going to kill us and make it illegal to talk about it.

Worse, this report blatantly winks and laughs that they're plotting and committing a genocide while claiming they're not - as if propaganda like this could ever be the precursor for anything else.

One mechanism by which clinical content may translate into violence permission deserves note. Trans-Genocide Belief—the perceived likelihood that a genocide of individuals that identify as transgender is currently underway in the United States—is predicted to more strongly relate to CGAS and LWA than to political identity and to be associated with elevated justification for political violence. This prediction is consistent with broader research showing that perceived threat, existential threat, and collective victimhood can increase support for hardline, punitive, or exclusionary action against outgroups, particularly when paired with authoritarian dispositions or strong moral conviction (Armaly & Enders, 2022; Carriere et al., 2022; Hirschberger et al., 2016; Kljajić et al., 2025; Schori-Eyal et al., 2014; Skitka, 2010). Related work on moralization and violent intergroup conflict further suggests that when a political conflict is framed as a moral emergency involving dangerous or demonized outgroups, violence can come to seem permissible or necessary (Mooijman et al., 2018; Saguy & ReifenTagar, 2022).

I have even seen people on Bluesky defend AI CSAM under the guise “it’s not real.” But AI CSAM is not only trained on real material, but now being used to launder real material. There are real victims. They’re just so far removed from the process they’re easy to forget as victims. But they are.

like I am imagining trying to convince the computer pioneers of yore that we'd end up devoting so much compute power, enough to harm the environment and break our economies, to produce bad answers, bad art, plagiarism, and scams. sigh.

Anyway, I genuinely think that Democrats are trying to purposely throw the Michigan senate race to try to establish a narrative for 2028 that only centrist/corporate Dems are electable. This isn't about Hasan Piker.

first of all, it's not "shrekking," it's "roger rabbiting," and second of all, jessica rabbit legitimately saw roger rabbit as hot and if you don't understand that, you shouldn't be writing about any of this

Sean Grayson murdered Sonya Massey in her own home. He died in prison this week, less than a year into his sentence. Grayson himself had two DUIs, a misconduct discharge, and a 110mph chase on his record—and kept his badge anyway. More from Let's Address Illinois State Director Dylan Blaha:

Underappreciated: US farmland *already substantially produces energy, not food*, and does so very inefficiently. Corn ethanol (~40% of all US corn) requires about 100 times more land per vehicle-mile driven than solar photovoltaics -> electric vehicles. Shifting corn to solar *would free up land*.

anytime people raise concerns about land use for solar projects or anything like that i just want to point out that half the corn we grow in this country gets used to make gasoline slightly worse

I'm sorry but I invented Waziggy, a mean Ziggy who likes bad things and is rude. I invented him but I cannot control him, and I am afraid of him.

A cartoon character who looks very similar to beloved character Ziggy, but looks cruel and has a big "W" on his shirt

I guess it's kind of hard to view the dismissal of one grublike phrenologist as a major hit to free speech after major American universities have in the past year banned the use of words and eliminated entire departments in the hopes of pleasing the senile president
