A really interesting piece on reducing AI cheating in the classroom from a Professor of English and former Dean of Humanities at University of Utah. The solutions? Smaller classes, lower teaching loads for faculty, and in-person classes.

there are some more damning details right out of Walden's mouth in this piece. my favorite bit is where Walden says she has read more of the couple's letters than anyone else, and it's maybe 600 of the 900 in one archive (i guess she got tired?) that archive was the *starting point* for Cleves.

I saw this this morning and I’ve been growing angrier and angrier all day. The way Walden doubles down on representing herself as the sole researcher and discoverer of this history is frankly disgusting. “I had to try and understand their whole life story while only having a piece of their lives.”
