I don't think it really matters whether Russia and Morocco etc instigated the event, the bigger issue is it's not ok to frame movement of people over borders as 'invasion'. Even if this is a political stunt we cannot allow the preparation of the discursive ground for mass slaughter by border guards.

Best for Britain@bestforbritain.org · 5d agoIf someone you know is persuaded by Farage's fearmongering over footage of migrants crossing from Morocco to Ceuta, tell them this: Third-country nationals in Ceuta do not have free movement to mainland Spain or the rest of the Schengen area. Spanish officials say over 25K have already returned.
Treating this as a pan-European crisis and closing borders disproportionately *encourages* other countries to use these tactics as political weapons. Sow division, isolate EU countries who are particular enemies.

It is law, and tradition, and a thing of beauty, humanity, and heroism. Of course the worst people in the world want to crap on it.

In formal ethics, if you throw the switch, you’re responsible, if you don’t, God is responsible and your hands are clean. I…will confess that if I had that kind of power, I’m sufficiently practical that it would be very hard not to throw the switch in some cases.
But, as your humble narrator has pointed out in at least one fanfic, Redeemed Revan would almost certainly fall again if something came up that required another lesser of two evils.
