My opinion is probably one of the less extreme among trans women: The New York Times solely bears at least 35% of the responsibility for every trans American who is murdered, commits suicide, or dies due to homelessness, or malpractice, and every subscriber carries a small part of that moral stain.
John Hatch@johnhatch.bsky.social · 2mo agoI don't think people understand the degree to which outlets like The Atlantic and The New York Times set back trans rights with second-rate reporting that doesn't stand up now, let alone in the future. They have failed at the most basic journalistic duties.
Microsoft had $80 billion to piss up a wall on AI investment, and I don't want this fact lost when we're talking about studio closures, they had obscene amounts of money to throw at slop machines.

The weirdest thing about the whole AI bubble is just how many times I get proven right in the face of the largest companies in the world that have bet half a trillion dollars in this tech telling me that I'm wrong.
