This is King Max. He was found as a stray with a broken leg. X-rays showed the fractures are already healing, meaning surgery is no longer the best option. He now needs weeks of ongoing care, including regular X-rays and repeated splint changes. You can help him below ❤️🩹 1510.fan/kingmax-bsd
Between 2024 and 2025 I had the absolute pleasure to make character designs for the coming TTRPG, Time without Tide ! Here's a few of them.
If someone really wants a Sphynx they turn up in rescues fairly often and there are networks of wonderful people who help to rehome them! People often buy them because they look cool but then don't want to keep up with all the maintenance and care they require and give them up for adoption.
Gin; Top Tier Trashᵀᴹ@scratchkitty.bsky.social · 2mo agoI have a sphynx (he's a rescue) and i can say they require so much care. Its not just baths like a lot of people think. They are prone to so many problems. Like I love them as a breed, but also agree they should NOT be a breed.
Can you look after my 3 month old cocker spaniel pup for a few hours I was asked. Yeah no problem said I...😁

Opt for scene over summary when writing stories
All too often when novice fiction writers put together a story, an editor will mark whole paragraphs or sections as “Show don’t tell!” or say it was underwritten. In such cases, the writer likely h…

Night night sweet dreamies May tonight be quiet enough to hear the good things that sometimes get drowned out by the noise. You mattered today. Your kindness mattered. Your presence mattered. Sleep softly, lovely people. 🧡
Somewhere out there is a cat breeder trying to figure out how to make "Jimothy" cats and we've unfortunately learned from Sphyxes and Munchkin cats that a lot of people would buy them.
Puppy at sunset - taken with my 600mm from my kayak and cropped. I was lucky to spot these coyote pups while out paddling the other evening. #mammals 🌿
It’s only the first of August, buckle up buttercupzzz~ lol… autocorrect added the zzz’s but I like it.
Greetings from Gen Con! 70,000+ people have gathered for the biggest TTRPG convention in North America - and that's what makes the show so exciting for us! Right now, the room is buzzing with creative potential. Those 70,000+ people have 70,000+ stories, and we have a chance to hear all of them!
Nobody has an inalienable right to own a cat. If someone has cat allergies they can try shots or other Rx interventions for themselves, not support the breeding of disabled animals. The breeding of Sphynxes is so unethical that it's banned in several countries. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
Sphynx has lowest life expectancy of domestic cat breeds, research finds
The hairless cats live on average for just 6.8 years, while a Burmese could survive to be 14, according to research

Crazy Cat Lady Abroad@crazycatladyabroad.bsky.social · 2mo agoI get hairless cats for people with allergies, but I'm still...let's say not exactly convinced it's a solution which is fair to the cat. So many of the rest of the things we do with breeds are wholly indefensible. And I'm just as happy with rescues as I ever was with purebreds.
This is Pepe le Pew. He has been to the beach many times over the years, but still gets just as excited about it. 13/10 #SeniorPupSaturday (TT: pepedog808)

Exactly who is behind these scams aimed at authors? Perhaps if we knew, we might be able to block or otherwise stop them from bothering us. The fact is that there actually are very few humans behin…

France calls out the U.S. at a UN meeting: “The US used to be a beacon of human rights. Not anymore. Today, it stands alongside North Korea, Nicaragua, Mali and Russia. Isolated. And the world no longer listens to it.” U.S. representatives stormed out of the meeting. Well said France! 👏🏼🇫🇷👏🏼
